Vyla L. Rollins
Vyla’s area of expertise is in working with organizations to systemically diagnose organizational performance and implement organizational/development interventions at individual, group, board, and organizational levels. Vyla has in-depth experience in the area of executive coaching, including designing and delivering group/individual based performance/change initiatives, team effectiveness initiatives, applied leadership development, and strategy facilitation at senior executive and board level.
She has also had an interest and experience in utilizing applied psychological techniques in the area of Project Management. In the early 1990’s she was awarded the Currie and Brown/Association of Project Managers prize in London for an article entitled “Project Management: A Perspective on a Behavioural Based Approach”, which was designated as a topic of general interest in the field of Project Management. Vyla is also on the board of trustees for the Clore Social Leadership Foundation.
Vyla has had the privilege of working with Harvard professor Ronald Heifitz, author of “Leadership without Easy Answers” and co-author of “Leadership on the Line” on collaborating on a groundbreaking leadership initiative for a UK telecommunications firm. She was also invited to act as a facilitator on Harvard Kennedy School’s 2006 “Art and Practice of Leadership Development” programme. Most recently she was invited to join the faculty of an Executive Education collaboration between Shell, Core Context Consulting and INSEAD Business School.
As well as holding the roles of Programme Director, Learning Facilitator, Tutor, & Coach, she is also is part of the exclusive Executive Coaching community that supports London Business School’s “open enrollment” Executive Education Programmes and degree programmes (MiM, MBA, Global EMBA, and Sloan). She is also one of the highest scoring Tutors on LBS’s Executing Strategy for Results Programme. Vyla was the first individual to work with London Business School in these multiple capacities. In late 2014 Vyla was appointed Executive Director of the London Business School Leadership Institute, whose vision is to have a profound impact on the world through unique research, teaching, and outreach that raises the standard of best practice in global leadership.
Vyla is an accomplished singer performing as a soloist, in ensembles and choirs.
